This is probably the first book I've read because of its Introduction. The Introduction is actually an Auto Biography of the author and it goes on for almost a quarter of the book. Wow, seriously, you cannot come up with this stuff. I know what I am talking about, I am a writer. The troubles and tribulations, the drama, the hopes, and intensity of the story - that can happen only in real life. The same woman who would rather calmly tell her first serious love that she found someone else she likes grows into a woman who puts up with a man who holds a pot of boiling water over her head to make her comply with his demands - you can't write that...As for the main part of the book, this is a solid advice that has gone forgotten somehow in our society. As such, it's a good reminder to many young women to realize their self-worth and make better choices in life. The analysis of Mr. Right, the potential grows (or the lack thereof) of Mr. Now into Mr. Right, and especially the bits on how to recognize Mr. Wrong, are very detailed and educational.
I think most women would love this book while at least some men would either hate it or get confused. Perhaps I am not the first man who had read this book but by the looks of it, I am the first one reviewing it so, I'll use this opportunity to post some questions to the author and other women here:
-Do you really think a man's goal in life is to please the woman he loves? Just curious.
-How much a man is worth if his life goals are simply to be a good family man? Or is it enough for you?
-Withholding sex until marriage just to determine if the man is Mr. Right - do you really think there are no better ways to test a man's resolve?
-A question to more experienced women - how much of the advise from the book do you think younger women would take to heart?

Huh! You can't live with them or without them. This is what I used to feel few days back, witnessing my life being tormented by men all around. Facing a messed up relationship, going out for all dramatic and unsuccessful dates and facing the trauma of the `exes' in my life, I had seriously started wondering how did women actually manage to live with them, as living without them had started seeming an easier option to me. Well, all exhausted and irritated, I somehow came across this book named "The Diva's Guide to Dram Vol. 1 men" by Neisha Robertson while quenching my thirst for reading and in an attempt of calming myself down. Being an avid reader and witnessing my serious plight, I ordered the book online as the preface to the book promised some quick relief to the ache of my life men problems.
On delivery, as I started reading the book, somehow I began recalling the basic fundamental concepts of making a relationship work. Every page of the book made me recall few and learn many new ways of tackling the messy situations of my life. The high drama of my life seemed to calm down and simplify with each page of the book turning over. The book successfully guided me to the path of attracting Mr. Right of my life towards me and scrapping off the lot of Mr. Wrongs from my life. Extremely encouraging, this book made me recover the deep stress levels of my life. The stories shared by the author made me connect with it instantly and made me learn a lot from the concepts derived thereby. I was deeply touched by the author's theory of self love, which she portrayed as the mandatory clause for others to love you. A perfect ten creation, highly recommended to every lady like me!
Robertson addresses all the problems women face with men and teach how to deal with them. Thus book is very inspiring.
This book was a good read and very informative...in a way that most readers can understand. It really makes you think about you life and possibly making some changes.
It was very informative about what your wants and needs are when it comes to finding a boyfriend and /or companion.
I could relate to many of her experiences. The author's concept of putting men in different categories was informative and fun to read. Wish I had this book years ago.
Good advise but lots of typos and editing issues. As someone who reads often, i found that distracting and by the end of the book, it was down right irritating. Overall though this really is a good message and I look forward to Volume 3 of the series (I'm skipping volume 2).
The first thing you will notice is that this author went through a lot in her own life. She was on her own by 15, had two kids, back to back (by different fathers) in her 20s and has apparently been blessed to look back on it in her 30s like it happened to someone else. Her testimony touched me. I couldn't stop crying for her (I'm a big baby). Her story isn't unique. There are lots of young women who go through similar tragedies all by themselves with nowhere to turn. This book is for those very women. This book breaks down a womans worth is small digestable pieces! This should be a must read for all high school seniors! Young women can learn alot from this book! As a matter of fact older women can learn a thing or two too! Most women do not know who they are until they read a book like this! This book is rejuvenating!
